Gwen's Favorite Things!

She is growing and changing every day. So much that sometimes I want her to stop! Stop getting older! No more big girl! Stay my baby please! Does every mom go through this? I just can't image her not being under 2 forever...

Anyways, I have some more Favorite Things by Gwen. :)

Sesame Street - in particular Elmo and Big Bird which are referred to as "Melmo and Burd" on an hourly basis at our house.

Counting - she "repeat counts" - at least that is what we call it...we say the number, she repeats it. All the way up to 15...although 13+ all sound the same in which she just says, "er-teeeeeen" non stop.

Alphabet Soup - not the food, she actually "makes" alphabet soup in the bathtub! LOL. She takes her foam letters and dumps them into the tub while she plays and sits around in it...I always laugh and tell her she is sitting in Alphabet Soup and she just yells her 2 favorite letters at me, "B" and "Y"

Animals and their noises - We have more now.
- Kangaroo - she jumps up and down yelling, "Bop, Bop" when she actually means "Hop, Hop" but it is too cute to correct
- Birds - She chomps her hands together and "chirps"
- Frog - She bends over (her attempt at squatting) and tries to hop, once again yelling, "Bop, Bop"

Body Parts - she has most of them down pat, but recently she really loves Knees and her Heart. She touches peoples Knees and hearts...although the heart usually ends up a boob grab so beware if you visit, lol!

Words & Sentences -
"put away"
"go nite nite"
"DeDe no no no no" (that is for the cat...lol)
"my drink?"
"me bite?"
"eat food"
"my butt"
"boots on"
"hat on"
Her most favorite thing at this time to yell is, "Mine!" or "No, no no no" and we can't help but laugh inside. What makes her yelling "Mine" even funnier is that she points ever so delicately at herself and opens up her eyes really big as to make you give in and yes, then whatever she wanted now becomes "hers"....oh she is tricky!

Cute sentiments - she now hugs and cuddles for long periods of time and it just melts your heart. She will grab on and snuggle her head into your neck and just giggle. She likes to "tickle" your hair and back when hugging you as well as blow kisses really really big, ending with a huge wave and "mmmuuuuahhh" noise.
Another cute sentiment is the way she says "I love you"...we always say, "Love you" and she goes, "lublublublub you" and it really is the cutest thing I have ever heard. It makes it really hard to shut the door for nite nite time!

Odd / Quirky things she does - she loves to mimic the sirens as they drive by. She is getting so good, I actually thought it was still a siren once! HA! She likes to unzip her footie PJs and take off her diaper...not always the best thing in the AM...ugh. She hids from Jason before bedtime and makes him come find her. It's pretty easy for him because it is the same spot everytime and she doesn't really understand yet that closing her eyes and turning around doesn't mean she is actually HIDDEN, lol!

Bedtime - She has a bedtime ritual for each of us and if we don't do it, she gets mad. LOL! Some parts are the same, but each of us have something slightly different and she loves it. ALTHOUGH if she really wants to be difficult that night (which is rare) she will often have the one putting her to bed go through their little ritual and then as soon as Jason or I go to shut the door, she cries out for the other person...ok ok, yes, 75% of the time we cave in and she gets 2 bedtime rituals :) hehe.
